She came to America in the year of 1847, at the age of 2, with her parents. Her parents first settled near Charleston, Iowa on a farm. They must have moved at a later time to Franklin area where her father's address was listed in the Lee County Records in 1879.
She had 2 sisters and 1 brother. Margaretha Sussana (Maggie) Rockelman Wagner, Mrs Peter Miller ( not sure her first name) and John Rockelman.
Elisabeth married John Becker on September 16, 1861, she was 16 years old and John was 28 years old. They had 10 children together.
Elisabeth was said to have died from Stomach Cancer.
