A. Joan "A.J." Weber, 68, of Sycamore, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.

Joan was born Feb. 11, 1940, in Sycamore, the daughter of Paul Everett and Beulah Maybelle (Campbell) Russell. She married Donald H. Weber on June 27, 1959, in Kingston.
A.J. worked at Floits for 28 years as a scale master, weighing trucks. She was a member of the Kingston Church and was the organist as a teenager. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Elks in Sycamore. Joan loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they will greatly miss her.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sheri (Dennis) Dimeler of DeKalb, Sandi (Dana) McMahon of Sycamore and Staci (Brian) Kittleson of Davis Junction; a son, Bradley Weber of Rock Hills, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Teresa, Dennis, Jennifer, Essie, Rachel, Brenden, Blake and Nicolas; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alexis; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Russell and James Russell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and a granddaughter, Andrea McMahon.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178, with Pastor Marie Carlson officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens in Belvidere. Visita­tion will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in care of Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Chapel.
