Dorothy Elizabeth Matthews Addis, 86, of Hosford, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 20, 2014.

She was born in Grindstone, PA and moved to Florida in 1964. She retired from Bell South in Pompano Beach. She was a dedicated member of the Pompano Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Addis, Sr. They were married in Cleveland, OH on Nov. 11, 1949.

Survivors include one of her four brothers and three sisters; her three children, Beth Wright and her husband, Jim of Hosford, Robert F. Addis, Jr. and Margarita of Miami, Susan Cheshire and her husband, Matthew of Pompano; seven grandchildren, Glenn Wright and his wife, Sharon, Michael Wright and his wife, Joan, Jimmy Wright and his wife, Phyllis, David Wright, Woody Cheshire and his wife, Susan, Cody Cheshire and his wife, Amanda and Amelia Cheshire;13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 10 a.m.at Sanders Cemetery in Hosford.

Interment will follow.
