Obituary: Obituary Collection by Borden Historical Society, page 104, column 1, reads: no newspaper given, dated 11 Dec 1996, reads: VERNON L BROUGH SR., 62, Pekin, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, at his home. He was a truck driver with the Matlock Company in Louisville, a member of Teamsters Local #89 in Louisville since 1964 and a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship in Pekin. Survivors include his wife, Sharon V. Loy Brough, his mother, Ethel Hurst; six sons, Vernon L. Jr., Marvin L., Rick L. and Jack A. Brough, all of Salem and Billy J. Brough of Deputy and Charles Lamb of Pekin; two daughters, Janice L. Harris of Salem and Jennifer Wilson of Pekin; two brothers, Donnie Brough of Pekin and Morton Brough of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Martin of Pekin and Shirley Perry of Salem; 21 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home, with burial in the Daisy Hill Cemetery.
