Aileen Allen, 60, of Mt. Carmel Church Road in Campbellsville, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000 in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Howard Lee Hedgespeth and Letha Bell Sprowles Hedgespeth, she was born in Taylor County, KY., on March 14, 1940, and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She was married to Thomas Allen, on July 13, 1957. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1994.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters and sons-in-law, Brian Thomas Allen, David Ingram Allen, Letha and Joel Davidson, Regina Gail and the Rev. Freddy Thompson, and Sheila Kay and Mike Warren, all of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Natalie Brooke Thompson, Nathan Brock Thompson and Courtney Michelle Warren, all of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister, James Hedgespeth and Bernice Underwood, both of Campbellsville; and special nephew James Ray Hedgespeth Jr. of Campbellsville.

Funeral was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev George R. Gaddie. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Lee Beams, David Bell, James R. DeWitt, Kenneth Gibson, Gary Johnson and Gerald Skaggs.

Honorary pallbearers were L. Dennis Beams, Garry Blakeman, W.H. Morris, Read Moss, James Dennie Skaggs and Glenn Spratt.
