~~ MY PATERNAL GRANDMA ~~

I will add my sweet Grandma's complete bio soon. As soon as I can get my Herbert records, I will be adding information, and pictures. Until then, I will add a little about my beautiful Grandma.

My Grandpa Herbert was so tragically killed by electricity by a downed power line while trying to save his neighbor. My Grandma's happy life was never the same. She worked so hard making pies to sell, ironing, and cleaning houses. They lived in a in one room cabin with no windows. Their food source was squirrel meat, and roots they could find in the woods. Her life after Grandpa was one of hardships. Grandma never lost her strong faith in God. God was the center of her life. I can remember being so proud when I got to visit the Sunday school class she taught. How she loved all children. I have a lifetime of precious memories of my Godly Grandma. One that I dearly love is hearing her singing gospel songs at the top of her lungs. No matter where she was in the house, she was singing. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of Grandma singing about God, her never wavering faith, and Heaven. Even in her later years in a care center, you could hear her beautiful songs throughout the hallways. I can't wait until we are all reunited in Heaven, and get to sing in Heaven's beautiful choir together.

Dad and my uncles cared for and protected my Grandma when they were older and able to do so. Grandma, you lived your life for God. Now you are happy and safe, and have your family gathered in Heaven for Eternity. I love you so much, and miss you all the time.

Rest in Heavenly Peace, my beautiful Grandma. I love and miss you so very much. I know you finally have Peace in your life. You are in your Heavenly Home that you sang about every day.

To be a Herbert, means being surrounded by Faith in God, love, and family.

Grandma and Grandpa Herbert's five beautiful children:
My Dad, Everett Herbert, WWII
Uncle, Fred Herbert, WWII
Uncle, Lemon Herbert, WWII
Aunt, Pauline Herbert Norris
John Henry Herbert, Died in infancy in my Grandmas's arms of Scarlett fever.
