She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Arlington Street Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Wallace Sr., and Alma Wallace Jackson; one brother, Eugene Wallace, Jr.; one sister, Gwendolyn Wallace and one great grandson, Isaiah Wallace.
She is survived by a devoted husband of 31 years, Clyde Henderson; five children, Levon (Aronita) Wallace,, Jacqueline (Lorenza) Charlie, Elvie Melissa Wallace, Anthony (Cassandra) Wallace and Julius (Lelia) Wallace; three sisters, Barbara Richardson, Joann (Henry) Coleman; devoted sister, Deborah Wallace all of Mobile, AL; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, two devoted cousins, Thelma Campbell and Joetta Bowie; two devoted great-nieces, Calasita Shamburger and Gwen Bonner; one devoted friend, Liz Perry Morrisette.
Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, January 19, 2007 from 1 to 8 p.m.
Visitation will be at Arlington Street Missionary Baptist Church, 2554 Pleasant Valley Rd from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour.
Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery, Dauphin Island Pkwy.
