Our hearts will always remember Anita, a devoted wife and mother, who entered into rest suddenly, but peacefully after a brief illness.
Born in Quinton, OK, her family moved to San Jose when she was very young, and she lived in the area most of her life. She attended San Jose High School and San Jose State University, and worked as an Administrative Assistant and Homemaker. She enjoyed many opportunities to travel throughout the world, and loved spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, H. Gene McCown. She will be greatly missed by her children, Rhonda McCarthy (Terry), Greg McCown (Lori), and grandchildren Dana and Emmalyn.
A service will be held for friends and family, with reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anita's name to the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
