Oakwood - Jack H. Cessna 84 of Oakwood, went to be with his Lord where his spirit & soul have found peace, at 3:36 pm Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his home.

Jack was born November 12, 1931 in Danville, IL to Golden “Jake” & Gladys Harrier Cessna. He married Judy Davis July 31, 1965 in Danville, IL, the couple just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Judy will miss him dearly. Also surviving: 2 daughters: Cindy (Robert) Martin of Henning and Annette (Darin) Hillard of Danville; 1 brother: Robert (Janelle) Cessna of Danville; 3 sisters: Norma (Everett) Clark of Danville, Patricia Nicoson of Tilton, and Carol (Chuck) Jones of Oakwood; 2 granddaughters: Brandy Martin and Amber Hillard; and 1 great-granddaughter Malia Pacheco. Jack was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Kenneth & James.

Jack had been a truck driver for over 40 years, was active in farming, and enjoyed fixing things. He was a Marine Veteran and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Danville. The family would like to thank Carle Hospice, Karen Davidson R.N., as well as the other wonderful caregivers who assisted Jack in his final days.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Danville with Pastor Ryan Harris officiating. Burial with Military honors will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation is from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Danville.
