Obituary: Mrs. Ida Heath, 60, wife of John Heath, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the family home here, following an illness of several years. During the last year she had been bedfast. Surviving, besides the husband, are a son, W.A. Heath and three grandchildren, John Louise and Doris Heath, all of whom live on a farm near Nichols. Funeral arrangements are Incomplete. Ida Carl was born in 1866 near Tipton, Cedar county, Iowa, a daughter of Johnathan W. Carl and Lucretia Morgan, natives of Ohio and Indiana respectively. She moved with her parents a few years later, to a farm near Lone Tree, living there until her marriage April 4, 1889, to John Heath. To this union were born three children, one of whom died in infancy and another who died in 1914. Mr. and Mrs. Heath moved after their marriage to a farm near Nichols, where the surviving son now lives. Mrs. Heath was a member of the Reformed church at Lone Tree. During her residence at West Liberty, however, she attended the Methodist church and was a charter member of the home department. She had been in failing health for a number of years and some time ago was taken to a sanitarium in Indiana in the hopes that she would be benefited. After ten weeks in the sanitarium, however, she was taken home two weeks ago. Since that time Mrs. Heath had failed rapidly until her death.
