Louise was in a relationship with Franklyn Ryan. Throughout their time together they lived in Brooklyn, New York. Franklyn's wife refused to sign a divorce decree. Louise and Franklyn essentially lived as husband and wife. On census records, they're listed as having been legally married. In 1944 Louise gave birth to their son, Neil. Upon his birth, Louise and Franklyn put a lot of effort into concealing the fact that they weren't married. At that time society would've looked down upon them, for being unwed and having a child. In 1947, Louise and Franklyn ended their relationship. Louise continued to live in Brooklyn with Neil. In 1951 Louise married Attorney William O'Connor. They had one son, William, Jr. During this time Louise worked as a legal secretary for William's office. Upon William's death in 1955, Louise moved back to her hometown, Carbondale, to raise Neil and William, Jr. In 1967 Louise died after a lengthy battle with cancer.
