Beryl met Franklyn while he was stationed in England during World War II. They married in 1947. Beryl and Franklyn had two daughters: Jamie L. and Wendy. They raised their children in Seattle. Beryl became a naturalized US citizen on November 13, 1950 in Seattle. After a long battle with arthritis Beryl died at her daughter Wendy's house at the age of seventy-five.
