She was born in Houston on May 31, 1919 and was the daughter of Katie and Rubin Caplan. She is survived by her three sons, Robert, Michael and wife Sharon, Barry and wife Jan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shane and Michael Barry, Samson and Linh Brier, Hank Brier, Brett and Shannon Brier, Joanie and Jacob Esparza, Michelle Brier, two great grandchildren, Benjamin Brier and Tessa Barry, sister Libby Feingersh and brother Mel Caplan and wife Carole, numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Morris Brier, and her sister, Ida Caplan Garfinkel. Ann grew up in Houston where her family owned and operated a small grocery store. She married Morris, the love of her life, in 1940. Together they enjoyed a full life raising their three sons. When she was 71 years old, Ann moved to Las Vegas, NV where she will also be missed by many friends. Ann enjoyed every moment. She will long be remembered for her wit and humor. Many thanks go to Houston Hospice and numerous caregivers (too many to mention) for their care.
