Son of Delbert Crouch and Mrs. John Byers. He was a graduate of Stinesville High School with the class of 1937. He entered the service in October 1942 and was sent to Camp Mackall, NC for training in the paratroops. From there, he was sent to Fort Benning, GA, where he won his wings and boots and became a paratrooper. In December 1943, he was sent to England. He was killed in action on June 10, 1944 somewhere in France.
