Cheyla Ruth Pettett was the daughter of Paul and Stephanie Irene (Rushing) Pettett. She graduated from Atoka High School, attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated from University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science Degree. Cheyla had just moved to Omaha, NE to attend Nebraska Methodist College for her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She attended 1st Baptist Church in Atoka. She enjoyed crafting, board games, audio books and went to Omaha to attend the Masters program for Occupational Therapy. Service will be held Monday, Aug. 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Atoka, OK. Interment will be at Boggy Depot Cemetery.
