The remains of Mrs. Thomas Smith were brought Saturday from Creston, Iowa to Diagonal and were taken to the undertaking parlors of Simpson Johnson and Company where they were kept until Sunday, then taken to Knowlton. The funeral was conducted from the Methodist Church at Knowlton, at 2 o'clock by the Rev. William McFarland of Creston.
Mrs Smith was born in Indiana in 1852 and died in Creston, Iowa September 27th, 1912 age sixty years.
She was the oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Chauncy Blakesley.
She was married to Lorenzo "Rienzia" Conley, who died a number of years prior to her death. She afterward married Thomas Smith who survives her.
Interment was made in the Knowlton (Centenary) Cemetery.
