Abstract: Jacob Eye 1861 will in will book 4 pages 399-400, Pendleton county, WV


body placed in own burial ground in Christian manner.

1) debts paid by executor from personal property.

2) to son Robert D. Eye 4 acres, south end of Fisher land near land of David Propst. Other land near E. or L. Propst, mentions South Fork road and a Gap.

3) to wife Sarah all the residue of my lands in Pendleton (life estate); after to my sons William Mark Eye and Jacob J. Eye and their heirs forever.

to wife all the grain, hay, ?? that I possess at death, all household and kitchen furniture, one horse called David, mare Nancy, sorrel horse Charlie, four milch cows (her choice), 50 head sheep (her choice), the farming hogs at hand, 15 head out hogs (her choice).

4) to son Robert $50 from money collected in personal estate.

5) to son Laban Eye $300, carding machine picker, ten plate stove.

6) to wife all horse gear and farming utensils except the big wagon, two ?? comb plows.

7) to son William Mark saddle and bridle worth $4.00 and roan horse he now claims.

8) to son Jacob J. saddle and bridle he now claims.

9) dau Muldah saddle and bridle she now claims.

10) all person property not disposed above to be sold by executor. Money to be divided by my five daughters, share and share alike. Neoma, Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Eliza, Malinda Catherine, Muldah Margaret.
