Burton Blaine Cady, 78, passed away peacefully at home with his two children by his side on June 3rd, 2016. Husband of 54 years to the late, Terry Woody Cady, son of the late, Robert E. Cady and the late, Louise Blaine Cady. Burt was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 1, 1938. He graduated from North Side High School in Ft. Worth, TX and Texas Tech University, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Burt moved with his family to Metairie, LA in 1972 where they lived for 42 years. He was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints and loved Mardi Gras.

He was a devoted father to Anne Cady Fatzer and husband Larry of Lynn Haven, FL and Blaine Alan Cady and wife Stefanie of West Monroe, LA; much-loved "Dat Dat" to grandchildren Michael Fatzer, Lauren Fatzer, Sarah Cady, Ashlen Cady and Andrew Cady; brother- in-law to the late Tommy Ann Woody Garrett, Dan Woody and Lynn Massey Woody; uncle to Clay Ellerbee, Dana Ellerbee DeLozier, Troy Woody and Trent Woody; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

As per his wishes, the family will hold a small celebration honoring his life later this summer near his childhood home at Eagle Mountain Lake in Azle, TX.
