Ernest "Ernie" Lake, Jr., 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away on August 13, 2016, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1933, in Idaho Falls to Ernest Lake Sr. and Violet Mathilda Petersen Lake. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.
On April 5, 1957, he married Nancy Lou Woolsey in Jefferson County, Idaho. To this union were added five children: Ernie, Rod, Travis, Jens, and an adopted son, Brent Tinker. Ernie worked for 45 years as an employee for the City of Idaho Falls in the Sanitation Department.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ernie enjoyed collecting antiques and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Son: Rod (Debby) Lake of Iona, Idaho
Son: Travis (Amber) Lake of Idaho Falls, Idaho
Son: Jens (Melissa) Lake of Idaho Falls, Idaho

19 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 2nd Ward (12448 North 5th East) with Brother Mike Smith, First Counselor in the bishopric, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery.
