Funeral services for Michael J. McCorkendale, 22, were held at the Stickel Mortuaries Chapel, on Tuesday, March 9.
Mr. McCorkendale was born Jan. 1, 1954 in Kansas City, Mo., and passed away at the Kern County Medical Center in Bakersfield from injuries received when he rode his motorcycle into the path of a pickup truck on March 5.
He had lived in Mojave for 17 years, but was recently making his home at 8 Oleander St., in Bakersfield. Mr. McCorkendale had attended Mojave High School, and was the leader and member of the"Roxoff" band, which has been appearing in Bakersfield.
He is suryived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art McCorkendale; his wife, Shannon.; a.son; Aaron; a daughter, Shannon; two brothers, Patrick and Timothy; two sisters, Kathleen and Judith Ann Walk, all of Mojave.
The Rev. James Maloney, St. Francis Church, Mojave, officiated at the 10 a.m. service. Private inurnment followed. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
