Born into a family of twelve children to William Wylie and Charlotte Gilchrist. The family immigrated to the United States in 1876. Jane's family settled in Archer, Idaho. She married John Martin on May 24, 1892. They became the parents of eleven children: John Albert, Charlotte, Bellima, William Enoch, James Wylie, Robert Wylie, Ellen, George Henry, Ervin Roy, and Windell Ceamer.
John died in 1939 leaving Jane a widow. She died on cardiac failure at the age of 80.
Jannett is buried on the west side of the cemetery with her husband and three of her sons. Unfortunately she was the last one to die and there was no one left to mark her grave.
