Roy Thompson was the eldest son of Julius and Susan (Hansen) Thompson and lived his entire life in Geneva, IL. In the early 1940's he was employed at McCauley's Greenhouses in Geneva. Later, Roy worked for many years at Thompson Manufacturing Company, which was owned by his younger brothers, Ray and Art. He lived alone at the house on Kendall Avenue in Geneva, which was where his parents had settled when moving out from Chicago in the 1890's.
