Joyce was born on Wednesday, June 11, 1947, a daughter of the late Ray J. and Edith Louise Bartlett Mooningham. She was a high school graduate and a retired factory worker with Sanford Corporation. She married Johnny Henry Angus who preceded her in death in 2010. Joyce was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a very kind person with a loving and generous heart.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her son, Joe Henry Angus and his wife Laverne of Shelbyville, one sister, Judy Wisdom and her husband David of Unionville, two brothers, Sammy Earl Mooningham of Normandy and Joe Wayne Mooningham of Louisiana, one grandson, Brandon Woodring, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by one daughter: Dorothy Sue Angus-Adkins, one grandson, Michael Adkins and six brothers, Bobby, Jerry, Charles, Carl, David and Jeffery Mooningham.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 am at Gowen-Smith Funeral Home with Kenneth Smith and Mark Smith officiating,
Interment will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Friends and relatives are invited and may call at Gowen-Smith Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover the funeral expenses.
