John Robert Stratton was born on May 31, 1939 in Logan County, Kentucky, the son of Zeddie Roy Stratton (1887-1970) and Floy (Coles) Stratton (1904-1997).
He was married about 1960 to Linda Tyree (1941-2013), the daughter of Charles Clifton "Cliff" Tyree (1913-2001) and Ina (Mastin) Tyree (1915-1993).
John worked for Genesco for over 40 years, and he was a resident of Hendersonville, Tennessee and 77 years old when he passed away on August 14, 2016.
Preceded in death by his wife, he was survived by a married son, three married daughters and eight grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, and burial was in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
