Searcy, Dec. 16 - Mrs. Fannie West Tapscott died at West Point Friday. She is survived by a son, Richard Tapscott, of Little Rock, and two sisters, Miss Lavinia West and Mrs. L. M. Boatright, both of West Point. She was the daughter of the late W. C. West and the granddaughter of the late William West, for whom the town of West Point was named, the family coming from Mississippi in 1849. She was born in West Point in 1863, and was married to Dr. Bryon Tapscott in 1888.
