Henry L.Kuns married Susannah Shively 9 February 1845, Tippecanoe Co. IN. They had a daughter, Susanah. Both mother and daughter died young. Henry then married Caroline Spidel in 1848. Caroline and Henry had eight children together. Caroline died in March of 1890. Henry remarried Mary Metzger Henricks in August of 1890. They moved to Lordsborg, California where Henry and his brother, David, were on the Board of Directors of the Brethren college, which is now called LaVerne College. Henry died in Lordsborg in 1893.
