Peggy moved to the Washington DC area in 1961, where she met and married Richard A. Johnson, Jr in 1964. Peggy raised 5 children, and kept the family together after her marriage. She was a strong presence in the lives of her children and 14 grand children.
Peggy worked in the government since the mid 70's, starting at The Department of Transportation, and retiring from the Treasury Department. She was a contract specialist, and a very hard worker who moved up quickly and made many friends along the way.
Peggy Johnson passed peacefully surrounded by her loving children at Inova Loudon Hospital at 6:32pm on July 25th, 2016.
Her spirit, strength, love and fierce loyalty will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donations may be made in her honor to http://act.alz.org/goto/peggyjohnson.
