He was the husband of Andra L. (Cartwright) Gawley.
He was born in Bellingham, Wash., March 7, 1939, son of the late Richard Elmer and Anna Gwendolyn (Whalen) Gawley.
Mr. Gawley served in the Army, at the rank of master sergeant. He was a decorated soldier who proudly served 23 years in the ASA/Military Intelligence Division.
Before retiring in 2003, Mr. Gawley was employed by JapEnameLac in Chelmsford.
His favorite pastimes included camping, fishing, and bowling with his wife and family.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lorice and Eldon Bonkosky of Nashua; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Rebecca Gawley of Lowell, and Loren Gawley of Nashua; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Harold Christenson of Mount Vernon, Wash.; five grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
