Rita Kay (Wengerd) Aufrance, 61, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday August 18, 2016.
She was born in Millersburg, Ohio, on September 11, 1954, and was the daughter of Jay and Lela (Weaver) Wengerd (both deceased).
Rita is survived by her husband, Jason, and three sons, Jeremy (Claire), Gabe (Kim) and Joe (Jamie). She doted on her grandchildren Owen, Anna, Mia, Brynley, Kiegen and Emersen and was anticipating the birth of a grandson in September. She is deeply loved by her brothers and sister, Richard (Connie), Ron (Paula), Rene (Sheila), Ruth (Michael) Mannion, Rob (Libby), Rian (Candi) and Randy (Beth).
Rita was an employee of the West Holmes School District for 29 years. She will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, coworkers and friends. Rita was known for her big heart, ability to talk (and talk and talk) to anyone who crossed her path, selfless nature and ease with which she made all those around her feel loved and accepted. She will be missed by so very many.
A memorial gathering will be held at Millersburg United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to share memories will be given the opportunity to do so beginning at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
