Linda Smith Franks of Crandall, TX was born February 18, 1942 in Dallas, TX and passed away on August 16, 2016 in Dallas. Linda was an avid Elvis fan. She would have loved the fact that they died on the same day! Linda graduated in 1960 from South Oak Cliff High School. She worked at Southwestern Drug for many years and retired from Metro Factors after 15 years. Linda loved running around with her “Sunrise Special Friends” during their lunch dates and their “turnip” dates. She also loved taking Jill out to eat, going to the movies and shopping. The only “people” she loved as much as her family were the 6 four-legged ones that lived with her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Nynva Smith and her brother, Earl “Bud” Smith. Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lonnie; her daughter, Jill L. Hedgepeth; her son, Christopher Hedgepeth and wife, Melissa; step-children, Michael Franks, Mark Franks and wife Michelle, and Melissa Franks; granddaughters, Casie Worley and Brianna Worley; great-grandson, Bentley Fain; step-grandchildren, Georgia Franks and Tyler Franks; sister, Rita Douglas and husband Dickie; aunt, Tommie Martin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
