Betty was born on April 20, 1925, in Boulder, Colorado to Leslie and Ruth Dawson. She grew up in Denver, Colorado and Laramie Wyoming and graduated from University Prep High School in Laramie in 1943. She married Jack B. Aggers in 1947 and began her life as the wife of a coach and athletic trainer supporting athletes, coaches, and their teams in Cody, Wyoming, Worland Wyoming, and at the University of Wyoming for over 40 years. She was employed in the University of Wyoming Admissions office for a number of years and was known for her outstanding customer service and dedication to students and their families. In 1987, her husband Jack, experienced a major stroke and Betty transitioned to wife, nurse, care taker, and head of the household where she supervised and monitored Jack's care in exemplary fashion until his death in 2006. She loved living in Northern Colorado and provided friendship and support to her family, close friends, and neighbors. She and her husband Jack were also known for their loyalty and devotion to the people of the state of Wyoming.
She is survived by her sons, Steve and wife Frances, and Keven and wife Ann; five grandchildren, Erin (Jojo)Aggers, Keeley Mendicino and husband Peter, Alyson Millner and husband Eric, Adam Aggers, Barrett Parker and husband Corey; and two great grandchildren, Sidor Mendicino and Kennedy Millner.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack B. Aggers, her parents and one brother.
A private family memorial service will be held.
