DIED SUDDENLY AT HIS HOME

William Foreman of Decatur Apoplexy Victim

Formerly Lived in and Around Berne - Was Nephew of Frank Foreman Here

The Decatur Democrat has the following to say about the death of William Foreman who died suddenly at his home in Decatur later Monday evening.  Mr. Foreman is well known to many here having spent much of his earlier time around Berne and having lived in town for some time.  Frank Foreman of this place is an uncle to the deceased man.

"Returning home about nine o'clock last evening, William N. Foreman, well known citizen and teamster of this city, living on Line street, started to walk through the house to the kitchen, got as far as the door and fell over dead, a victim of a stroke of apoplexy, according to verdict of Coroner D. D. Clark.

"Mrs. Foreman who was upstairs heard the noise as her husband fell and hurried down, there to find him lying on the floor dead.  Mr. Foreman had gone up town in the evening and seemingly was feeling as well as usual, although about two weeks ago he suffered from a hemorrhage of the lungs, but was apparently on the road to recovery.  He did not complain of being sick or that he did not feel well when he came home and his sudden death comes as a severe shock to his wife and children.

"Mr. Foreman was born in Adams county in 1878 and spent almost his entire life near Berne.  He has lived in this city for a number of years and was a teamster.  He served in the 160th regiment of the Spanish-American war.

"He is survived by his wife, five sons and three daughters, also thee brothers and three sisters."
