Additional notes:

LaJuana Jean Healer was born Sept. 22, 1929 in Sweetwater, Texas, to Rev. Alfred Cyrus Healer and Mattie Mae (Pat Hammond) Healer, the youngest of four children (Francis Edward "F.E.", Carl Thurston, Laura Naomi and LaJuana Jean).

She married Robert A. (Bob) Henthorne, Jr. on May 2, 1947 in Nolan County, Texas. Bob had a son, Bobby, who he brought to the union, and added a son, Greg, to their family in 1949.

Bob and Jean lived in Abilene for several years where he was with the local blood bank and she taught Jr. High School. They later moved to Austin when Bob took a job with the State Health Department. It was there that Jean again taught Science at the junior high school level.

After retirement, they built their dream home in Leander, Texas, and enjoyed entertaining their church family there for many years before Bob's death in 2008. Jean continued to live in their home until her health forced her to a care facility where she passed away at the age of 85.

Information from her niece, Janie Healer Davis.
