Betty Gibert Blanks COLUMBIA - Betty Gibert Blanks, 86, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Link and Debra Burke; her son-in-law, Michael Burke; her granchildren, Chris Odom and Michele Odom; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, and Zander. She was preceded in death by her husband, Heyward Blanks. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia, and had retired from SLED. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
