She was born March 30, 1903, at Stillwater, Oklahoma,
daughter of Walter Scott and Emma C. Knauss Richards.
She was married to Franklin Meade McWethy on March 08, 1925 and they were the parents
of five children. Her husband and one daughter, Gwenyth
Marie, preceded her in death.
Mrs. McWethy was a member of the United Methodist Church
and a retired school teacher, having taught in the Berryville schools for 22 years.
Survivors include two sons, Bill of Charleston, SC and David of Fayetteville; two daughters, Carol Riley, Hart, MI and Evadne Hollister, Shelby, MI; one sister, Evelyn Ricks, Hart, MI; two brothers, Vaden Richards, Chambersburg, PA, and Lester Richards, Parker, CO; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m., Wednesday,
August 18, at the United Methodist Church in Berryville with Rev. Paul Westburg officiating. Internment was in Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, Berryville, Arkansas.
