Silverton - Chuck was first and foremost a loving father to his 6 daughters Tami, Kristine, Kate, Elisa, Tessa, and Danika, and an adoring grandfather to his two grandkids Amy and Ryan. Our dad lived his 64 vibrant years in the Silverton area surrounded by family and friends. He died unexpectedly in a tragic accident while working in his shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie (Sr) and Verna (Kaufman) Stadeli, and his nephew Bradley Jensen.

Our dad loved Harley riding, fishing, working on anything with a motor, racing, playing guitar and singing, live music, making grandma's strawberry rhubarb pie, and pushing around dirt while tending to his property. Our dad especially loved sharing these things with his family. He was the oldest of 13 kids, and his 30+ nieces and nephews sure loved their "Uncle Yuck." He was related to at least half of the town, and friends with the other half - he ran into people he knew everywhere he went. He was unapologetically himself, and will be remembered most for how deeply he loved and how quickly he would lend a helping hand. Chuck followed in his father's footsteps and eventually took over the family business as a well driller. He greatly enjoyed his work, drilled his first solo well at age 15, and was a long time member and past president of OGWA. Sobriety was one of his greatest accomplishments, and over 26 years he frequently sponsored others through AA, and was always willing to share his experiences to help another.

Chuck attended Emmanuel Bible Church, and his growing spirituality brought him profound joy. A public memorial service will be held there Wed Aug 24 at 4pm, reception to follow. In honor of his style, casual attire is encouraged, i.e., shirts with cut-off sleeves, shorts, and flip flops. A procession is planned to escort his cremains from Unger's Funeral Home in Silverton to the church, and we invite anyone with a motorcycle or classic car to meet there at 3 pm to join.

We love and miss you Dad.
