For many years he was a friend and companion of my great Grandmother Minnie Lee Askins McClary in Dallas and a friend of our family. As children we thought of him as a kindly old man who had wonderfully blue eyes and always liked to make us laugh and attended many of our birthday parties. He has always been a big part of our beloved Shelton family stories.
