Clarence Bangle, 99, Elwood, died Thursday at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.
Born Nov. 26, 1898 in Tipton County, he was the son of George and Laura J. Clark Bangle.
He married Viola Sherman, Aug 20, 1943. She died in December 1959. He married Grace Huntzinger in June 1962 and she died in August 1964. He married Edith Runyan. She died in December 1983.
He retired from Delco Remy and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sisters, Esther Deem of Campaign, Ill. and Mary Turner of Anderson; a brother John H. Bangle of Elwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives; a son Arthur Perry; a daughter Nora G. Mull; four brothers, Cass Bangle, Charles Bangle, Perry Bangle and Donald Bangle; and four sisters, Rosa Crull, Pauline Truex, Ethel Williams and Katherine McCord.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Copher & Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynette Sumpter officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
