Born in Wyoming on April 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Carmella Bontempo Marianacci. She was a graduate of Wyoming High School, Class of 1950. She worked in the garment industry all her life until her retirement.
She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Wyoming, and was very active in their yearly Harvest Festival. Presently, she was a member of St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter.
Carmella was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her daughter and son-in-law, and a very proud, involved grandmother to her four grandsons. She never missed a school or sporting event, and could always be seen cheering them on from the sidelines.
Carmella was always a favorite aunt. Her nieces and nephews loved her as a second mother, and spent much time at home with her. She was a great listener and they all sought out her advice.
Carmella was known for her delicious homemade lasagne, chicken cutlets, and rice pudding, which was enjoyed by all. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Charles. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 14, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Nicola and Carmella; a sister, Antoinette; and brothers, Dominick and Fred Marianacci.
Surviving are her only child, daughter, Antoinette Consagra and her husband, Charles, Jenkins Township; grandsons, Charles, Yatesville; Joseph, Justin, and Jordan, Jenkins Township; and her brother, Henry Marianacci, Rockaway, N.J. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Dr. James Bruno and his staff for their outstanding care over the last 37 years, and to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their kindness and compassion shown to Carmella and her daughter.
Funeral services will be held Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter. Family and friends are asked to go directly to church Friday.
