Mr. Therman Delbert Johnson, age 74 of Pioneer, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Tennova Residential Hospice in Knoxville, TN.
Born January 6, 1942 in Scott County, TN, he was the son of Everett and Rosetta Byrd Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked as an electrician; and attended the Grace Missionary Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN.
Also, he was a Veteran of the U. S. Army; for over 30 years he was a member of Masonic Lodge # 670 of Robbins, TN, Kerbela Temple Shriner, IBEW and Scottish Rite.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Mary Etta Jeffers and Bessie Pauline Jeffers; brothers: Ronald and Donald Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 52 years Trula Johnson; 3 children: Shane Johnson, Angelia Dunn and husband Steve, and Dawn Jeffers and husband Jude; 4 grandchildren: Joshua Laney and wife Trinity, Derrick Laney, Jacob Jeffers and Emily Jeffers; brother: Dennis Johnson; and a host of other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Johnson family on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 5 p.m. until time of Masonic Rites at 7 p.m., followed by the funeral service in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Chambers, Bro. Eli Crowley and Bro. Roger Hillard officiating. Music will be provided.
Committal service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Full Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #136.
