The child was in a car her father was working on while he was talking to Charles Brown, on whose tractor Mr. Ketcham was making repairs, She had picked up a card of paper matches. It is then when she struck one match, the others exploded, setting fire to her dress. She made no outcry, and when the men saw her she was critically burned.
Linda Kay was born at Fostoria Hospital, May 8, 1942 and is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Ketcham, one brother, Terry Lee Ketcham. All grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Ketcham of R. 1, Fostoria, and Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Edmunds of R. 4, Fostoria.
She was a member of the Congregational Church, West Millgrove.
Funeral services were held at the Harrold Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. D. D. Corl of Fostoria. Burial in Fountain Cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the community.
Cause of Death: Accidental -- 2nd & 3rd degree burns.

Although we were the same age, I remember your funeral vividly. Your white casket had a white veil attached to the lid & draped over the bottom portion so no one would touch you. However, I saw Aunt Selby lift the veil & place a kiss on your head.
