MACON Wesley C. Lancaster, 66, former state highway commissioner, died in his home here at 2 a. m. Wednesday (June 16, 1937) after a long illness.
He was born April 4, 1871. in IIliopolis and was married to Fannie Reed of Assumption, Jan. 25, 1902.
He leaves his widow and the following children: Mrs. Geneva Cisney of Blue Mound, Mrs. Verma Woolfe of Macon. Fred, Harold, Robert and Betty Lancaster. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Anna Jones of Decatur and Mrs. Addie Richardson and Mrs. Millie Higgin of Storm Lake, Iowa., and two brothers, June and Henry Lancaster cf Macon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in the Macon Methodist church. Burial will be in Macon cemetery.
