Raymond Doyle “Bud” Fairres, age 76, of Waterloo, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. Visitation will be Monday, August 29th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Doc Shell officiating. Mr. Fairres was retired after working many years from Bendix in Southbend, Indiana. He then returned to his home town and State of Waterloo, Alabama where he had his own shop and enjoyed carpentry work. Preceding him in death were his parents, Temple and Ola, his two sons, Tony and Johnny; two grandsons, Baby Tony and Timothy; one great-granddaughter, Ariel; sister, Earlene, and brother, Danny. He is survived by his loving wife Lily; seven daughters, Tammy, Sonya, Dawn (Jack), Robin (Bill), Teresa (George), Terry (Chris) and Renee (Brian); seventeen grandkids and twelve great-grandkids; his three brothers, Jimmy, Johnny and Rick and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bud was a very loving husband, father, and grandpaw and will be deeply missed. A special thanks to all the nurses, doctors, volunteers and the Chaplin of Alacare Hospice.
