Helen Welch, 93, of Minneapolis, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Abbott N.W. Hospital, Minneapolis.
She was born May 15, 1905, in Alamosa, Colo., the daughter of Harry and Eleanor Arenz Hussey. She married Ralph D. Welch in 1926 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1955. Also preceding in death was a daughter.
Mrs. Welch was a member of Joyce Memorial Church in Minneapolis.
Survivors: three sons, Ralph Welch of Springfield, Charles Welch of Minneapolis, and Robert R. Welch of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mary E. Tapp of Brownsville, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Charles Olander officiating.
Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
