Elisabeth A. Brugge

Elisabeth A. Brugge, age 94, a St. Nazianz resident, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on September 10, 1920 in Germany, daughter of the late Reinhold and Agnes (Wutkke) Stenzel. On September 11, 1948 she married Wesley Brugge in Germany and moved to the United States. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1983. Elisabeth was a member of the St. Nazianz Lioness Club, Senior Citizens Center, and the Red Hatters. She also enjoyed music, dancing and reading.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: William and Jane Brugge, Olympia, WA; one grandson: Larry Alan (Allison) Nelson; five great-grandchildren: Dane, Trent (Dulce) Sarae, Everett and Abigail; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Darlene Mittenzwei, Jeanette Brugge, Pat and Wayne Robertson; special friends: Elma and Cisco Castro, Marian Christel, Trisha Hammer and Mary Pineda. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband: Wesley Brugge; one son; Michael Brugge, one brother: Hubert Stenzel; one nephew: Uve Stenzel, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Marion and Roy Osmundson; one special friend: Rudy Pineda.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the memorial service will be the Rev. Nicole Welke and Erica Cunningham. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Elisabeth will be laid to rest at Our Saviors Cemetery, Valders.

The Family will greet relatives and friends at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders where a luncheon will be served following committal prayers.

The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center for the kind loving care given to Elisabeth.
