Fred Allen Rites
Mr. Allen, an employee of the Burden Post office for 19 years prior to his retirement in 1962, was born April 10, 1892 near Burden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Allen.

He was married May 13, 1919 to Jessie Irene Bynum, who died Feb. 14, 1928. He was married in Burden July 11, 1955 to Theo Peninger, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Irene Wiegers, Fairbanks, Alaska; 2 sons, Glenn of Kansas City and Owen of Hutchinson; a brother, Frank C. Allen, Grand Island, Neb.; 4 step-children, Mrs. Nine Kullhem, Palisade, Minn., Mrs. Bertha Light, Howard, Mrs. Lela Bannom, Burden, John Peninger of Winfield, 6 grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Miles chapel, Burden, with Ray Cox officiating. Burial will be in Burden Cemetery.

NOTE: Fred Allen is buried in the Tisdale Cemetery with 1st wife Jessie Irene Allen.
