Ada "Addie" Ethel Detraz, daughter of William & Etta O'Neal Detraz was born in Florence, Switzerland Co., IN on Jan. 4, 1885. Siblings were Maud S., Oliver I., & Lula Mae.

Addie married Fred Stoops on March 19, 1904 in Vevay, Switzerland Co., IN

Children born to this union were; Matilda Etta, Leland Detraz, Doroty Mae, Henry Fred, & Harold Leo.

They moved to the Yakima Valley in 1934, residing at 308 Buena Way, Toppenish, Yakima Co., WA for 27 years.

Mrs. Stoops, age 75, died in the Central Memorial Hospital in Toppenish, Yakima Co., WA on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1960 after a brief illness. Her husband, Fred Stoops, preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1955

Survivors include three sons; Leland & Henry Stoops of Toppenish, and Harold Stoops of Selah; two daughters; Mrs. Doroty (Raymond) Cole & Mrs. Matilda Shadday (Clyde) both of Indiana; a brother, Oliver Detraz & a sister, Mrs. Maude Seavers (James, also of Indiana

Funeral services were held Feb. 25, 1960 in the Hopkins Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at the Elmwood Cemetery, located in Toppenish.
