Elery Will Amick
Elery Will Amick, 60, East Freedom, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, Nov. 13, 2004,at Nason Hospital emergency room, Roaring Spring.
He was born March 11, 1944, in Roaring Spring, son of Elery and Mary (Kauffman) Amick.
He married Brenda M. Drake May 17, 1997, in Roaring Spring.
He was employed as a driver for E.F.Smith Trucking, Roaring Spring.
Mr. Amick was a 1962 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict.
Will enjoyed collecting eagles.
He was a member of Ray-Camp VFW Post 7689, Roaring Spring.
Surviving are his wife; four children: Kylie Lamborn of Claysburg, Desteny Ramsey and Brian Stapleton, both at home, and Will Amick in Maryland; a granddaughter, Kansas Rain Lamborn; four sisters and two brothers: Ethel Finnegan and Ruth Ickes, both of Claysburg, Gladys, Jane and Ron all of Roaring Spring, and Paul of Clarksville. Tenn.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at
Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Pastor Charles Baughman.
Interment with military honors will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery,
Roaring Spring.
