Linda Lee Jones Jacobson, 71, returned to live with our Heavenly Father Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016. She was born in Vallejo, Calif. to John G and Joy Jones. She is survived by her loving husband, Max Fred Jacobson; her daughter, Jan Jacobson Olsen (spouse of Paul Olsen); her two granddaughters, Zoe and Carli Olsen; and her sister, Judy Hymas (spouse of Glade Hymas). Linda was a retired elementary school librarian, having worked 30 years for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas. She was a passionate and exceptional librarian who positively impacted the lives of numerous elementary students. She was a devoted member of the LDS church and held numerous positions, including serving as an ordinance worker in the Nevada, Las Vegas Temple. Linda was also well known for her beautiful voice and narrative contributions in civic presentations, church related plays and seasonal performances. She was a talented, devoted, intelligent and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Those who were lucky enough to have met Linda and those who knew her best, witnessed her elegance, compassion, love and service of which she joyfully gave. A viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Palm Mortuary-East, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Anthem LDS Stake Center, 2497 Cozy Hill Circle, Henderson, NV 89052. A viewing will be held prior to the service, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Stake Center. The interment will be conducted at 3 p.m. at the Bloomington, Idaho Cemetery Monday, Sept. 5.
