Mrs. Sadie Cummins Christopher, 88, died Thursday, May 16, at 7:50 p.m., at the home of her niece, Mrs. Sara Jane Cummins, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3. Death resulted from a stroke of paralysis which she suffered on May 15.

Mrs. Cummins was born May 11, 1858, in Greene County, a daughter of William and Catherine Ashburn Cummins, deceased. Her husband, Newton Christopher, died nine years ago.

Formerly of Khedive, Mrs. Christopher had made her home with Mrs. Inghram Cummins of Waynesburg, after the death of her husband. She had gone to visit her niece, Mrs. Sarah Jane Cummins, when she suffered the paralytic stroke which caused her death. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

She is survived by two stepsons, J. W. Christopher, of McClellandtown, and W. N. Christopher, of Rices Landing; a step-daughter, Mrs. Nellie Wade, of Carmichaels; several nieces and nephews, and by a sister, Mrs. Catherine B. Brooks, of Sarasota, Fla.
